Chicken Biryani is a delicious meal and it is cooked often during festivals, parties and special vocations. It is easy to prepare and yummy to eat

Serve : 4-5 persons
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 kg Basmati rice
- 1/2 kg Chicken
- 4 medium size Onions
- 3 Tomatoes
- 2 Green chillies
- 1/4 cup Curd
- 1 Lemon
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 3 Green Cardamom
- 2 Cinnamon
- 4 Cloves
- Salt to taste
- 150 ml Oil
- 1 cup Mint leaves
- 1 cup Coriander leaves
METHOD:
To prepare gravy
1. Heat oil in a pot and add dry spices(cardamom, cinnamon & cloves) to it
2. Put chopped onions and saute it nicely till it turns light brown in colour
3. Add chicken and stir for 2 mins
4. Add ginger garlic paste and salt and saute till the raw smell goes
5. Sprinkle red chilli powder and stir it
6. Add chopped tomatoes and saute well
7. Once tomatoes are cooked add mint leaves, coriander leaves and green chillies and mix it well
8. Atlast add curd and lemon mixed together and add little amount of water stir nicely and close the lid
9.Cook the gravy in low flame till the chicken is done
To make Basmati rice
1. First, wash rice in water and soak it in clean water for 30 mins. and set aside. Don't soak for a long period of time.
2. In a pot add adequate water and let it boil.
3.After water starts boiling add the soaked Basmati rice and salt stir it once and close the lid.
4.let it cooks for some time don't overcook the rice
5. Once it is done 80% strain the water from it.

To make Chicken Biryani
1. In a gravy, pot add the cooked Basmati rice and mix gently
2. Heat one old tawa and keep the pot on top of it
3.Close the lid (cover the lid with a cotton cloth or aluminium foil) and keep some weight on top of it, so that the heat won't evaporate
4. Simmer the flame and leave it for 10 mins.
5. Once it is done serve hot with raita and some chicken 65

Add some water and close the lid. Let it cook in low heat till the chicken is done

Take one pot and boil adequate water to cook the basmati rice
