Seekh kabab recipe

Seekh kabab is a starter made with minced or ground meat, onion, lemon, coriander leaves and some Indian spices....


Seekh kabab is a starter u can mostly find in parties, function etc. It is cooked in tandoor or barbecue....if you don't have this thing it is better to go with tawa. To give the flavour of tandoor you can heat the charcoal and keep it in between the seekh kabab and close it with one plate. This will give you smoky feeling and really it tastes good. So let's move on to the recipe 


PREPARATION TIME  : 5 MINS 

COOKING TIME        :20 MINS 

MARINATION TIME :30-40 MINS 


INGREDIENTS 

  • 200gm minced mutton 
  • 1/4 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • Pepper a pinch
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1/4 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 onion chopped 
  • 2 tsp coriander leaves 
  • 1 tbsp besan/gram flour 
  • Salt to taste 
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1/4 tsp ghee
  • 2 tsp oil
  • Skewer 

METHOD 


Take a bowl and mix all ingredients minced mutton, ginger garlic paste, pepper, garam masala, red chilli powder, coriander powder, onion  coriander leaves, gram flour, salt, lemon and ghee and mix it well with the help of hands (u can also add green chillies and egg if u want) 


keep it in the refrigerator for about 30-40 minutes. After it is marinated mix it nicely 

 Heat one tawa add some oil. And take a small portion of it and start making the cylindrical shape and skewer it 



Add seekh kabab on tawa and cook it from all the side 




After it is done from all the side heat one charcoal and keep it in seekh kabab's plate and add some oil on it to get smoke from charcoal and close it for 5 minutes. 


    Squeeze some lemon above the seekh kabab and serve it with lemon wedges
