Shahi chicken korma recipe

 Korma is a Mughal dish. The flavour of a korma is the combination of meat, curd, spices and dry fruits paste.

               It gives you a rich flavour when all these things come together. It is a simple and tasty dish. Let's move on to the recipe...

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg Chicken 
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste 
  • 2 fried onions
  • 1 tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Paste 
  • 10 Almonds
  • 10 cashew nuts 
  • 2 green chillies 
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp jeera powder
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala 
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 1 cinnamon 
  • 2 cardamom 
  • 3 cloves 
  • Coriander leaves 
  • Mint leaves 
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1 tsp ghee

Method 

Take a kadai and add oil and ghee to it


                         Add dry spices



Add chicken to it and stir well for 2 to 3 mins


Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 mins till the raw smell goes


Add powdered spices and stir well for 2 mins


Then add tomato puree and saute till oil leaves from sides


Add coconut paste and green chillies and saute well



Add fried onions to it and saute well   (to fry onions take one kadai put some oil after oil gets heated, add chopped onions and fry till it gets brown) 


Make a fine paste of cashew and almonds (soak cashew & almonds for 1/2 hour in water before making a paste). Add cashew & Almond paste to it


Add well-beaten curd to it (while adding curd simmer your stove or else curd can start curdling) 


         Add coriander & mint leaves



Close the lid and cook it for 10 min in low flame... Stir well in between 


Shahi chicken korma is ready. Garnish it with some dry fruits and coriander leaves and serve hot with chapatis or rice
